Legendary Lyricist
May 9, 2008

If you ain’t knowing, Percee P is a legendary MC from the Boogie Down that has been in the game since 1979. His style was (and still is) incredibly unique, and he receives a lot of respect from heads across the globe.
Before releasing his debut Perseverance (2007), Percee P had a very limited catalogue. Aside from creating various mixtapes, and making appearances on albums (Lord Finesse, Big Daddy Kane, Edan, Jaylib, Kool Keith) there was very little material Percee could call his own.
That being said, not too many people know about a particularly scarce 12″ from Percee P and Ekim (producer) entitled ”Now They Wanna See Me” (Big Beat Records; 1992). I came across this single a couple weeks back and missed my chance to cop it, mainly because I couldn’t get down with the sticker price (this 12″ usually runs around $100 at the cheapest).
After doing a little research, I’ve become real determined to grab this funky record. Here’s the tracklist:
Percee P & Ekim: “Now They Wanna See Me” 12″
1) Now They Wanna See Me (vocal)
2) Now They Wanna See Me (instrumental)
3) Lung Collapsing Lyrics
4) Putting Heads to Bed (street)
5) Putting Heads to Bed (radio)
6) Putting Heads to Bed (bonus beats)
If anyone knows where I can get a copy, hit me up!
