50 Cent & Preemo?
January 12, 2009

50 Cent: “Shut Ur Bloodclot Mouth (Prod. DJ Premier)”
Curtis is really flooding the internet with new music…The latest is a joint he did with DJ Premier called “Shut Ur Bloodclot Mouth.” Preemo is killing it!

50 Cent Will Hurt You

50 Cent: “N***a I’ll Hurt You”
More leaks from Curtis via 2DopeBoyz. Honestly, it’s nice to hear 50 Cent get on the grimy tip once more. This reminds me of the 50 before all the fame and success of Get Rich.
But don’t get it twisted though…I just saw Righteous Kill last night and that movie was terrible! Not too sure how to take this guy these days..
Top Ten Albums of 2009

Class of 2009
While 2008 took some time to get the good music out, it definitely sounded better than the year before. Besides the cheesy ringtone raps (*cough*Superman-that-ho*cough*), and gimmicky hipster trends, the final quarter of 2008 had some great music. From JakeOne to Nas, or Black Milk to Guilty Simpson, there were some definite bright spots for hip-hop.
As I did last year, it’s time to make a definitive list of the most anticipated albums for 2009. I believe next year will be even stronger in the long-haul, and I can’t wait to see what the genre has in store for its listeners. One significant difference for the upcoming year, is that this is the year of the internet stars (even more so). Such artists as Charles Hamilton, Asher Roth, B.o.B., and Slaughterhouse (Joe Budden, Royce the 5’9″, Joell Ortiz, and Crooked I) have seen some fame through the net, and we should finally see if this success turns into album sells.
Regardless, this will be a strong year overall and I’m very much looking forward to it. Continue on, to see the finalists…
Thinking of a Master Plan
January 8, 2009
From YZ’s Sons of the Father, “Thinking of a Master Plan” is an absolute classic from the golden age of hip-hop. Sampling the Kay-Gee’s “Master Plan,” YZ lets the listener know how he feels about the current state of the world (in 1990 terms).
Go out and tell ‘em it’s time to “take a stand”/ YZ is workin/ thinking of a master plan
Biggie Demo Tape
January 7, 2009

Notorious B.I.G.: “Microphone Murderer”
Notorious B.I.G.: “Guaranteed Raw”
In celebration of Notorious hitting theatres on Janueary 16th, the original Biggie cuts from his tape demo have leaked yet again. This is about as raw as hip-hop can get, and further proof as to why Notorious B.I.G. is the G.O.A.T…Fire!
Props to Nah.
Aftermath Back At It
January 6, 2009

Eminem: “Crack a Bottle (feat. Dr. Dre and 50 Cent)”
There was a version of this that hit the web a little while back, with Em rapping the Dre part, but this is the final album version. This will probably be a track on the upcoming Eminem LP Relapse, which is releasing mid-2009. Vintage Dre/Eminem collaboration.
50 Cent: “I Get It In (Prod. Dr. Dre)”
Classic Dre banger with classic 50 verses (i.e. “shawty get me a drank”). While I’m not the biggest 50 Cent fan as of late, this is one of those guilty pleasures that can’t be ignored (ala “I Get Money”).
Good look OnSmash.

Top 20 list: HERE
What? Black Milk didn’t make the cut? I’m not trying to hate, but even the great Preemo might be sleeping a little too hard sometimes…Good list overall though.
